Unicast, Multicast streaming servers for IPTV, Broadcasting, Video On Demand services
Mediamagick streaming server lies at the core of SPL's IPTV platform. It is responsible to deliver the unicast/multicast video streams to the Set Top Box. It delivers MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 based optimal quality video in the most efficient manner.
UNICAST STEAMING SERVER:
The unicast server uses connection-oriented protocols to maintain the QOS. The servers are based on SPL's state-of-the-art Mediamagick IPTV technology. The unicast server demonstrates superb precision on RTSP controls with excellent fast forward and rewind functions without any jerky motion. It gives user the experience of using a DVD player. The advanced streaming algorithm developed by SPL have strong capability to control video streams even on public broadband internet (1 to 1.5 Mbps), a rare capability seen in any IPTV solution. It supports upto 500 concurrent users.
MULTICAST STREAMING SERVER:
The multicast servers deliver multicast streams in multicast enabled networks. It supports upto 10 multicast streams per server. The multicast streaming mode shares the same stream among all users on the network, thus conserving a huge bandwidth costs. It is ideal for running IPTV channels.
These servers are perfect choice for the demanding streaming business like IPTV channels, Video on Demand, Music on Demand. The server intelligently monitors and controls the quality of the multimedia stream to each individual client, thus enabling it to offer provisioned Quality of Service (QOS). The multicast enabled networks can utilize the multicast streaming servers to utilize the bandwidth effectively. It is best suited for streaming live IPTV channels.
The servers are managed using remote web based control panel. The control panel is a secured, user friendly and easy-to-use comprehensive tool that gives full control of the streaming servers.
