SPL Innotech Unveils New Maxbox™ IP Set Top Box at VIA Technology Forum 2006
9 June 2006, Singapore - Singapore-based SPL Innotech, an IPTV innovator today unveiled and showcased its new innovation - Maxbox™ IP Set Top Box, through VIA Technologies, Inc. at the VIA Technology Forum 2006.
The Maxbox innovation combines SPL's end-to-end IPTV system with the highly power-efficient VIA processor platforms. It has been specifically designed to enable broadband operators, telcos, and IP service providers to deliver a complete range of value-added IP services, such as Video on Demand (VOD), live satellite TV over the public internet, VoIP telephony and videoconferencing to subscribers, at a bandwidth of only 600 kbps.
